I think this is going to be my first (and hopefully last) whiny pregnancy update. I am sooooooo freaking uncomfortable the last few days. I get dizzy when I stand for too long and my legs feel weak, my little girl uses my ribs for monkey bars when I sit, and when I lay down my back and hips hurt. I am praying the babies are just in a weird position and things will get better once they squirm around a bit.
I also am totally congested – can’t breathe through either nostril from what I thought was allergies. Aren’t the left and right sides supposed to take turns? Turns out it’s a cold that has moved to my chest, so now my throat is killing me and I have no voice. I’ve been lucky to have stayed healthy for most of the pregnancy, so I guess one whopper of a cold isn’t so awful, but this one is pretty harsh.
Pregnancy wise, I think things are good. I had a little scare Friday evening where my Braxton Hicks were coming every 7 minutes like clockwork. They didn’t hurt at all, but they were very consistent. I was ready to call the dr. and go to the hospital if it kept up, but instead I fell asleep and things were fine when I woke up Saturday. I think it was just that Friday was stressful – last day at work, so I was sad and happy and nervous. My class did a little shower for me and each student gave me a book for the babies, signed with a little personalized note. Sooooo cute, and something I definitely am glad to have as a keepsake for the future.
We started childbirth classes Monday night. We are the only twins in the class, and I am not the biggest woman in there. Don had to give me a massage too. I like this class!
Finally, Colby is now stitch and staple free. He is allowed to climb stairs, thank goodness, and we just have to slowly help him rehab to build the muscle back in that leg. The vet says swimming would be good for him – she’s obviously never seen our boy try to swim!
