We’re borrowing these cool Bumbo seats from friends (thanks Tommy and Nathan!) and even thought they’re still a little small for them, I think the twins like the change in perspective they get from sitting up. The first few times, they weren’t into it, but the other day, I sat Avery in hers and put her favorite jungle arch musical thing in front of her, and she couldn’t get enough of it! I put Alex on the other side, and he loved it too. Seeing them smile and hearing their first giggles is so fun. So is going in to get them in the morning or after a nap and having them look up at me and give me a big gummy grin. Avery especially likes to smile at times when she shouldn’t – like bedtime, or in the middle of the night when I want her to go back to sleep but she’d rather play. It’s so hard to look down at her and see her whole face light up when I make eye contact and not smile back at her. She’s too darn cute! And Alex’s smile is big and open mouthed. I had my doubts early on, but it looks like we have two happy babies on our hands!
