We have two walkers, finally! Avery started a couple of weeks ago, right around 13 months. At first she would only walk a few steps at a time to me, but now it’s her preferred mode of transportation. She gets up on her feet and wobbles along, looking like someone spiked her milk with a few shots of Tuaca. But she mostly stays up, and when she does fall, she’s right back up again. She’s soooooo proud of herself! It’s made life much easier for me when we’re out. When we go to the gym, I can carry Alex and hold her hand and she walks right in as I open the doors. Such an improvement over me carrying them both, smacking two or three heads on doors on the way in and out.

Alex waited a little longer, til just the last few days, but he’s picked it up faster than Avery once he got started. He absolutely loves to toddle back and forth between Mommy and Daddy, getting a big hug from us and giving us a giggle in return when he reaches us. He’s just getting to the point of choosing to walk from one place to another in the house, and he falls more than Avery, but he’s up enough for us to call him a walker as well.

*Sniff* My babies are growing up!
