A short clip of Adam smiling at us.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8033068722343910461Just got word from Jen that Adam’s 2 week checkup went great. He packed on another 10 or 11oz in the past week and is up to 10lbs 12oz. According to Jen the doctor said “he’s a big boy” and was surprised when she looked at the paper to find that this was only his 2 week checkup. She initially thought he was 2 months!!
His lack of pooping and occasional discomfort weren’t a concern for her at this point. She wants to wait a few weeks to let Jen’s milk flow stabilize and to let things settle a bit more (Jen can probably provide a more accurate description).
I do however have his recent stats. He’s 75th percentile for height and head size and 97th percentile for his weight. What a bruiser, huh? He’s going to be bigger than Alex and Avery in no time!
Aunt Ann from Arizona has been staying with us all week and helping out with stuff around the house, the kids, etc. She is such a great help and has really made this week a nice and easy one for Jen, which definitely helps with the recovery, etc. She returns home this Saturday and will be greatly missed!
Other friends and family will visit over the next week or so, hopefully providing help all through next week too. Keep checking back in the April album for more pictures. I think we have some that need to be uploaded from the computer. I’ll try to get them up tonight or tomorrow.
Thank God Its Spring!
Alex has a BLAST on the “big mower” with dad. Don’t worry, it was on low speed, without the blade turning, and not very loud at all. That came much later after the cameras were off and mommy wasn’t looking!
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8315608452363570847Man, sometimes it stinks that they’re getting so big. Alex and Avery show that the front gate is no longer a problem for them.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4754012960201769518Yup, it’s been 1 week and 1 day since Adam was born. I am happy to report that he is doing GREAT and is a dream baby so far. He picked right up on breast feeding and even spends the better part of the night sleeping in his own crib in his room.
Tuesday was his first doctor’s appointment at our pediatrician. He got a clean bill of health and was already back to and above his birth weight. He clocked in at 10lbs 1.5oz at the appointment, which we were happy to hear. His appointment was also our first trip out as an entire family of five. The appointment was fine and Alex and Avery behaved great.
It actually worked out well that we all went because Avery’s eye, which had been bothering her, ended up being infected and needed some prescription drops. While her eye seems to be better she has been battling a fever and now what seems to be a cold or something. It just seems weird to me that she’d get since now since she hasn’t really been anywhere significant in the past week as we’ve been pretty limited. On a normal week between story time, play dates, etc. she has 100 chances to get sick. It figures that when she’s housebound she seems to pick something up. I’m sure Alex will be picking up the baton shortly once she’s almost done with it. Oh well, such is life and such is life with 3 KIDS! (wow, that sounds scary)
My days home are numbered and I’ll be headed back to work on Monday the 7th. Luckily it seems that we have help lined up for the two weeks following my return to work. We’re very lucky to have such wonderful friends, family and neighbors. We’ve had two meals brought to us this week by our neighbors (both were great by the way) and tons of other offers for the same from friends, co-workers, etc.
Keep checking back for new pictures and more videos. I’ve got a bunch of videos from the past week featuring various things with the kids. We’ve also started an April album which picks up where the Adam Arrives album left off.
